HEAD acoustics is expanding its compatibility for communication quality measurements on 5G (VoNR)-capable devices: The labCORE hardware platform and ACQUA measurement and analysis software are compatible with the latest radio communication test station by the Japanese company Anritsu K. K. By using labCORE, ACQUA and the Anritsu MT8000A, voice calls can be established in a 5G network. This allows telecommunications equipment manufacturers to test the voice quality of their 5G-enabled devices.
Connection establishment in a 5G network
The device under test registers at the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) server of the Anritsu radio tester via the 5G network. labCORE connects to this platform via wired Ethernet and also registers at its IMS server. Through the ACQUA software, users are able to establish a voice call between labCORE and the device under test. "We are very proud that with the compatibility to the Anritsu solution, we can offer our customers another way to test and optimize the communication quality of 5G-enabled devices," said Christian Schüring, sales manager Telecom at HEAD acoustics GmbH.
